This beautiful dress is from New Look. The Rose Jersey Dress is covered with big, pink, blowsy old-fashioned roses, has a scoop neck and 3/4 length sleeves. Modern styling of the dress would nicely offset the sweetness of the flowers - it would look fabulous with a wide black belt around it, opaque tights and a pair of knee-high boots. In a shameless look back at the eighties, this season has a trend for huge checks on shirts. Twenty years ago you would have worn a men's shirt, massively oversized. I know I'm showing my age here, but when I was little there was a rather yummy chocolate bar called Aztec. I was reminded of this by this equally tasty Pink Aztec Batwing Top from Dorothy Perkins. Taking Stock
This quite beautiful Woodstock Dress is from Long Tall Sally. Wonder why they chose the name Woodstock? To me the design says elegance and class, the print reminicient of fireworks or ribbons blowin' in the wind, rather than hippies. Perhaps they are channeling the sleepy Oxfordshire town?
